WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU?
These are some of the questions you will soon see around the school as we prepare for our second Identity Day on June 23.
Do you have your identity project chosen? Are you gathering the artifacts (the objects, pictures, etc.)? Will you be ready to show everyone else in our school about one of your favourite hobbies or ideas? The sky is the limit! Have a look at a few projects from last year to spur you on!

The following guest post was done by Lesley Cameron, our Grade 3 Teacher!
Today our school enjoyed a Spirit Day called Pajama and Reading Day! All students and staff were encouraged by the Student Leadership to wear pajamas and bring along a favourite stuffy or blanket. In the afternoon, we enjoyed reading time in the gym, where all students gathered and read books with parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends. It was a special time!

The Forest Green Family Dance happened over the past weekend and I just really wanted to thank everyone for their hard work and participation for this great event. When I first came to Forest Green, I knew quickly how special a group I was fortunate to work with. When I see events where our parents take the lead, while our students and staff contribute and participate, I know that we are in a really special community. Thanks to everyone that came to make it such a tremendous success, and a special thank you to the school council that put in so much time before and after to ensure it was a great event for Forest Green! I really appreciate our school and the leadership that continues to enhance our connections with one another.
Thanks again for all of your hard work! I am hoping that our students can comment on this blog to let all of the parents know how much they enjoyed the dance, and some of their favourite things!

On Tuesday, March 1, Forest Green had the wonderful opportunity to present for the Parkland School Division Council of School Councils group as part of their parent information nights. I was honoured to be able to create and deliever a presentation with Lesley Cameron and Corre Mahan to a group of parents, many from our own school community. I would also like to thank Norm Usiskin and Cheryl Johnson for joining us that evening to also share their perspectives.
Thanks for your support in joining us this night! We appreciate the opportunity to learn together and share how our students are inspiring us everyday.
One of the stories that I shared from the evening was an amazing story of the PS22 chorus. Through sharing their passion and learning, they are inspiring people from all over the world. You can learn more about their journey watching the video below:
You can also see one of their songs:
I really believe that our students at Forest Green have the same power to inspire others all over the world. We are truly blessed.
Thanks again!

Thanks to Mr. Usiskin and Mrs. Kari’s class for a fantastic Remembrance Day Ceremony. The students did a fantastic job leading the direction. I really enjoyed this video created by Mr. Schellenberger showcasing the student work created for this ceremony.
Great job students!
